Direct from the church on the book of Abraham:

'Mormon and non-Mormon Egyptologists agree that the characters on the fragments do not match the translation given in the book of Abraham.'

It seems non-literalism is now implicitly doctrinal and mainstream. The church has adopted a tick-tock strategy to solving the doubt problem, and it's awesome.
